1968/69 DJ 1601 in question

I'm posting comparison photos of a 1601 & 1603. Looking for opinions on the 1601, engravings, case and dial. I already have my own opinions about the engravings being sloppy and that I have never seen a 6 like that on a Rolex. The case not having an ellipse to accept the movement and the dial being refinished as it doesn't have a step (Pie Pan) as well as the font being wrong.
Opinions?

Thank you for responding, The reason I'm asking people for their opinions is because I'm trying to prove to the seller the case is not authentic. He wont take my word for it and insists its real after he consulted his "Vintage Experts". The watch has been taken to Rolex for authentication so at least I will have it in writing.

Dial is refinished for sure.

That case was obviously not done by Rolex. The engraving is horrendously crooked. Stay far away from this watch.
