Incoming 1680
I was bitten by the watch bug early. Always remember being in love with watches and having them, even as a kid.
When I got older I went for "sensible" watches, and as life events started happening, watches became good markers for certain milestones. Eventually I reached a stage in life and career where I wasn't worried or working to "get somewhere (more qualifications, out of debt, a better job, etc.)," and I seemed to have gone a little crazy. You can guess where this is going. In the past 5 years, I've managed to acquire black dial and Z-Blue Milgausses, a ceramic Daytona, and white dial SS SkyDweller, all at retail or below. Thinking I was about done, I happened to lay eyes what would become my next Grail watch, the 1680, and in true addict fashion, couldn't get it out of my head. Within a month I have it--and I have to say I've never felt this way about a watch. After almost 24h with it, I'm feel like it's ruined me for any other pieces. That's a nice grail watch to aspire to, and obtain. Congratulations.

Hard to imagine why the white 1680 took so long to catch on and take off.....guess everyone was busy obsessing over the red text. Great looking watch and one of my favorites, congrats.

I love this 1680 a lot! It gets a few comments from other Rolex owners I encounter in the public. Not bad for a 40+ year old watch doing its daily wear duty. I've been asked by the local Rolex dealer to trade it in for a new model, but I know better.

The 1680 is my vintage Rolex grail over a 5513 because of the date Congrats to you! I hope to join the 1680 club, but prices seem to be outpacing my savings rate, LOL
