Icon9 Bought a 5513 from a TRF member, deal is a nightmare... How to behave? Your thoughts?

Hi friends,

Bought a 5513 mid April and paid immediately with PayPal on the 15th....
The deal is a desaster

The Seller is a TRF member and he neither sent the watch nor refunded me.

Always excuses etc..... by mail!

Until now he even didn´t me provide with the tracking ID for the package since

Since I am usually acting in a way that I do not publish any personal details your comments are appreciated how to move forward???

For sure I made a claim with PayPal but there is 1st a residual risk that they decide on the Sellers behalf and 2nd it takes ages before they move forward. Not spoken on what you have to deliver in terms of paperwork etc.....

Do you have similar experiences and what would you do?

I just want to stop this nightmare immediately

Axel, did you pay with credit card through Paypal? You should contact your credit card company and let them know you bought a watch and never received it. Normally they will reimburse you.

Ax - first and foremost, start your claim with Paypal right away. There are time limits involved so go ahead and get started. It's easy to do, and the claim actually doesn't take that long to get back. And as Shelley recommended, contact your credit card and see what they say.

And secondly, if you're pretty sure the deal has genuinely gone south, I would post the guys Username here. It will save someone else on the forum from trouble in the future. It's feedback that people need to hear. It would be one thing if you just weren't satisified with your purchase, but this is plain out and out theft.

You should do everyone here a service and post the name. Then, tell us where the scummy bastard is located, so one of the 'good guys' would pay him a visit.

Paypal usually acts pretty fast. You need to file your dispute and "raise it to a claim" immediately. You can do this over the phone and they will walk you through the process.

I am very sorry this has happened to you. Please see that the same happened to me and I posted my situation on the forum. After my post, I received various messages regarding the user trying to negotiate on other watches...

You should post the person's ID. The sooner the better!!!

I have bought alot of stuff using paypal. I suggest you IMMEDIATELY file a complaint with them, they will give the seller time to respond and ship the merchandise if he/she fails to comply you will receive credit for the purchase and Paypal will deal with them. I have bought a few expensive items on ebay and personally know Paypal is usually more on the side of the buyer then the seller.
Sorry to hear this I know its a headache especially with a pricey item.
Also forget the mumbo jumbo he might feed you file a formal complaint right away you can always cancel dont let him buy time by promising he will send the watch soon.

Yes, Visa and Mastercard will take care of you. You will need to provide complete documentation about the transaction. Make screen captures of the advertisement. Also, show proof that you paid. My experience has been that they will temporarily refund the money, then they will do their investigation. It will be up to the seller to prove he sent you the watch. I believe paypal has a 45 day period in which you can file a claim. If you don't do it during that time, they will not help you at all.

It's also best that you post the seller's name in this thread to let the TRF moderators know who the person is.

Maybe it would suit the VRF mods better that the information be posted on VRF.

I agree with the rest of the guys - resolution by PayPal is your best option here. If the seller has in fact screwed you, I have no problems with you describing your experience in the "Who's who" section. Be advised, however, that your accusations need to be backed up by evidence.

No doubt this forum--particularly the seller/buyer aspect--relies on effective communication reporting tremendous integrity and, unfortunately, the opposite. In my humble opinion, you should most certainly post the name and all information you have. This might help you in procuring a resolution to this unfortunate matter and it will--definitely--protect other members from suffering a similarly unfortunate fate. Either way it is the proper decision. I wish you the best in resolving this matter.

Hi

Re paypal dispute. I use paypal an enormouse amount.

This is important.
1 You need to take the view that the seller is already in default. As you have not received your watch in reasonable time.
2 If something arrives for you, especially if it is a watch sized box. DO NOT SIGN FOR IT.
If it is an empty box, or the wrong watch, this will be seriously adverse to your paypal claim.
3 Ultimately. If you didn't sign for receipt of the goods, sent by that seller. You will get your money back.
4 If you sign for the wrong goods , or an empty box, it becomes very complicated.
5 It is important to forget the idea of receiving this watch.
