The new SD looks larger, IMO, than the DSSD.

Had Rolex left the Cyclops off, this could have easily been on of the best selling/most highly sought after Rolex' is modern releases. But with the Cyclops, I think it just turns too many people off.

So glad I got my SD4k when I did!!

I think the WIS is the minority who are affected by the cyclops.
Think about the men on the street who look at this and go "WOW"!

Rolex is doing well by releasing the SD43 quickly and cashing in on the sales.

This looks to be a huge seller if its really around 42mm and perfect setting between SubC and DS-Blue.



Note: Explorer II is sized to his wrist whereas SD43 is not. Still it gives an idea!

To each his/her own...so glad Rolex FINALLY corrected that deficiency in the readability of its too small date window. Cyclops should been on the SD back in '67 and they very much wanted it to be except they couldn't engineer it to work. It might have taken 50 years, but glad they finally figured it out and hit their original goal. Better late than never says many of us that are very much turned ON by it getting a Cyclops.

Interesting! I think WIS are those who like the look of traditional Rolex with cyclops. Because they like the "WOW" effect when they (and other people) look at their watches and instancely recognize it is a Rolex.
