My 1st Rolex

Hi, all. I'm in the market for my first Rolex! Very excited, and am over 50. I'm also new to this site as of today. Here are my choices :
A) Milgauss-black or blue dial
B) Air King (pre owned)- blue dial
C) Air King- new, black dial
D) Explorer I

Can anyone recommend which model is rarest? Good , fair dealers?
Thx.

Milgauss with blue dial is a big winner in my book. Explorer is a close second. Happy hunting.

Of that list, I'd go for the Explorer I.
I like it and want one too..!

Congratulations! I would go preowned.

All great options!

My local Rolex dealer has a preowned Explorer 2016
But great dealers that I have dealt with.

None on your list is rare. But the coolest looking would be the milgauss. The classic looking would be explorer.

The 39 mm Explorer would be my choice. Look at the newer model with the longer hour and minute hands.

The new Airking dials look good but the Milgauss is the choice out of those.

But go GV.

Welcome to TRF

The Milgaus will wear the largest if that matters at all. For me as a first I'd go with the Explorer 1.

I love the blue Milgauss, but I wouldn't want it to be my only one. I have the explorer 1 39mm and it can be worn with a suit or jeans, great all around. Milgauss just doesn't work as well as a daily driver, kind of like how I wouldn't want m only car to be a Corvette.

Welcome! Although not my cup of tea, out of your options i would say Milgauss GV. Happy hunting!

My first Rolex is the Deepsea. I like bigger, chunkier watches, so the dive watch line is where I tend to look. The Explorers and GMT Masters are also tops in my book. But the one non-rugged style Rolex I covet is the Milgauss. Given your choices, I'd personally go for the Explorer, with the Milgauss a very close second.

Pick Explorer 39mm with 3,6,9 being white gold and you won't regret 39mm might sound too small but it really works.I have big wrist 18,5 cm(7.25inc)
and i own 39mm Cellini 50519 and it looks great on my wrist.I am looking to add rolex explorer 39mm 3,6,9 in gold these would be my 2 watches that i ever need
At the end of the day choose what makes you happy

Milgauss GV black... I just bought one a few weeks ago and I LOVE it. No buyer's remorse at all.
