Just stunning. I've been wanting a blue Aquanaut for years but I would have much preferred if it remained 40mm.

Me too and I would prefer steel. 38k is steep for a 3 handed aquanaut even if they absolutely hit a home run on the dial color.

All said, jealous of those who can order one without batting an eye. I'm glad it's not limited so I have time to decide and see now prices settle.

And some on the Rolex forum were asking who would pay £21K for a WG on strap.

Rolex forum not understanding Patek pricing--say it isn't so.

Then again some don't understand $140k for a watch on velcro

And I'm sure on some Mille forum somewhere they're marveling at GF and Claret pricing.

It's turtles all the way down.

Yeah I hear that. Being a PM sports watch I don't think they will hold to MSRP like a 5167 or 5711. So who knows, maybe I'll cave.

Love this piece and I love that Patek is not shy to introduce the 42mm watches. Already called my AD and have one on order. Perfect "beater" watch for me for daily wear. Love love love this and the size

I guess the supply will be limited too,
Obviously Aqua is an other league than Nautilus but I think the new 5186 will attract some potential 5711A buyers .

At $11k more, it may or may not.

true but in Europe it s almost unobtainable within 24-36months except you pay premium ,if you can negotiate some % on the G and you are almost there.

The Aqua is £7 or 8K more than the Daytona, so that's pretty good value I will continue to tell myself.

I love this watch. But at more than double ($$) the SS, slightly smaller 5167, strikes me as odd. But I guess the 5167r is 32K, so yeah the Patek PM math seems consistent.

I want one! Or better yet a travel time in blue (non-Adv. Research) come next year's Basel.
