Calibre 1520 AK running fast after overhaul
I just had my 5500 overhauled(full movement service, new mainspring..etc), and I've noticed that its running a bit fast. What could this be? Does it need to "break itself in?"

How fast is fast and is it consistent?
If it is consistent, then I would simply take it back to the watchmaker and have him/her regulate the watch to slow down. It should be something he or she could do as you wait. If the rates are inconsistent, then there is another issue. Phillip Ridley CW21 |

Perhaps a timing adjustment is needed? But if you just got it back I'd recommend tracking it for a week and seeing how much it's gaining everyday.
