Patek 5711P 40th Anniversary Picture Heavy
The thread is to show a few pictures. The divisiveness of the watch adds to its appeal.

Personally diamonds are a girls best friend...but unless you know that the markers are diamonds and not just normal lumed indices you wouldn't know. Very subtle

I always felt the blue was a bit black for me in the 5711A. This is more the cobalt blue that I was hoping for

It's definately a bit heavier and I believe around 240 grams. I also thought the platinum looks a bit whiter than stainless steel but as first platinum watch may be my imagination

Great photos of a beautiful watch. I don't care for diamonds usually but the use of them in this watch has changed that. I wonder why more brands don't use stick diamond markers like this. Does anyone know if it is more difficult to make a baton shaped diamond?

The dial color is amazing! So glad to see it go to such a great collector and friend. If I see a pic of this on IG with your workout gloves at the gym like your 5711/1A then We are no longer friends LMAO! Wear her in good health buddy

Big congrats Karl - wear in good health my friend
If I knew you were in London today I would have hunted you down to try and swap it with my SS 5711 (whilst you were busy inspecting the cork display box). |

One has to look very closely to see the markers are diamonds. Even my wife did not notice at first!

This blue makes the large premium on the SS even more ridiculous.

I find my DDII a tad too heavy for a full-day wear am thinking of adding on a 5711P soon. I turned down the opportunities to buy 5711/1P (non limited version before the 40th) twice simply because I read some where on the forum that the 5711/1P weight in over 280-290g which is much heavier than my DDII (275g). Only managed to tired on the 5876/1G. That was a monster on my wrist! HAGWE!! Cheers! jen |
