Remember when I wrote the '100% confirmed Basel releases and discontinued' thread?

Looks like I was 100% right after all!

Yes, it appears you were right. I'm going to have to give my usual passive aggressive response some thought. I'll edit later.

Not completely. The big prediction was we'd get a new SD this year, and you missed that.

I'm still confused on the OP date. Was that a thing as recently as 2016? I thought it was all datejust.

A lot of Forum Members owe you an apology MovieGuy. Bit time. But don't expect to hear from them...they are too busy skewering Just Tom and some others who's Basel predictions fell short. You see it's much more fun to flame someone that to admit you were wrong.

Your posts are always thoughtful, measured and well written. Besides being very creditable you are also a true gentleman because you never lash back at those who find joy in flaming you.

Few people who are true insiders are willing to remove their cloak for us. You are kind to do so and to spend as much time as you do trying to enlighten and educate us.

Fortunately, there are some appreciative posts on this thread and I want to add mine to them. Thanks for being such a resource for us and please keep those "inside baseball" posts coming.

We'll look forward to your predictions next year. That elastomeric strap sux on the YG Daytona C. If that watch came with a Super Jubilee or Oyster bracelet, it would be magnificent.

Do you have the new SD lug width and how thick is it?

And also the bracelet taper – i.e., the width at the CLASP?

It wouldn't kill Movieguy to admit where he was wrong, either. Everyone was predicting the SD4K was going the way of the dodo. The real question was what was going to replace it, if anything. Most people predicted a 50th anniversary edition. Movieguy said a replacement model "may" come along in a year or so. So yeah, he got most of his predictions right, but I maintain that he missed perhaps the most significant prediction of the ones he made, and that was predicting the new Seadweller. Despite that, he starts a thread bragging about his 100% accuracy. And you wonder why people continue to flame him? I wonder why people here are so blindly congratulatory.

It's nice to be able to predict the future...

I had it right on the first thread. I thought what you said was probably true but thought your manner was overconfident, it just doesn't go over well. Same with the CokeC guy that disappeared who was more interested in being a hero rather than genuinely sharing with us. Presenting stuff in a more humble manner will always elicit a fairer response.

Hmm, I don't think he feels better than anyone, (based on his lighthearted emoticons in his OP??).
He took a great risk by posting his findings, that took balls. I believe people are appreciating that risk, rather than the predictions.

To the OP: one bad prediction from now on, and you'll be burned at the stake. LOL

This from the guy who begins his post with "I had it right on the first thread."

I thought the "Flame Spraying" was unnecessary anyway. If a commoner calls something before the WIS, they're asking for it, I guess.
