G shock battery level

I have a new G shock. I have been keeping it propped up on a sunny windowsill when I am not wearing it. I have put in under a halogen lamp for a few hours at night. I wear it indoors and outdoors. But the battery indicator is glued to medium. How do I get it to High? Maybe it takes awhile and I am impatient.

I had that same issue with an old G-Shock and thought maybe it needed a service given the age. I tried different lighting too.

I found that constant direct sunlight finally pushed it above medium.

My 5600J had been in a draw for years (watch must be over 10 years old easily ). I took it out recently and nothing. Put it under a light and no success. Recently we've had good weather in the UK so left it out in the sun for 4-5 hours and bingo, it was working again but only at medium level. Then it suddenly went to high and has stayed there ever since.

Maybe I've been lucky but don't give up hope.

it will take a while for it to get up to H and stay there.

It you wear it from time to time to keep it from going to L, I wouldn't worry about it. :)
