Thoughts on Zenith A384 Revival ?

Hello all!

I hope you all are healthy and well as that is of upmost importance.

I stumbled upon the Zenith A384 Revival today, while looking up random watch up

Would anyone like to share their thoughts on it?

I like it because of the 37mm size! Although being a square/cushion case, it might wear larger than a 37mm round watch

It’s also neat that they kept it true to the original (is what I’ve read) and that they didn’t use faux lume

Love the way the dial looks. Not sure how I feel about the case, i'd have to see one in person.

I want to see one too.

Unfortunately there is no Zenith AD or boutique close to me

I’ll have to wait for a road trip or something !

Not for me. It kinda reminds me of one of the Seiko recraft pieces, perhaps crossed with a OQ?

Gotta say I do like the bracelet on it. Very cool retro look. I have one of the older Ebel chronos w the el primero inside, so the history of this movement alone fascinates me. Definitely cool.

It seems like the bracelet is a big deal as it was designed by Gay Freres or something like that?

I honestly don’t know much about it but I’m my readings that was brought up quite a bit

Looks cool too

I am interested in a Zenith with the el Primero movement, but in pictures this watch looks like the dial is too small for the case.

You can’t scratch it of it is not a coating it is treated titanium case, however it should look different bellow the surface.

Question is how deep is the surface. Will the scratches be a different colour?

I guess so the treatment creates the dark color

I like the design of this especially the new Shadow version. I have no idea how this would fit on my wrist though.

Me neither. I also wonder if Zenith is known for giving a bit of a discount at an AD. Kind of like Omega

That would certainly help.

Very beautiful - but 37mm may be just a bit small in today’s 40mm+ world.....

I like the watch and the bracelet. Too small for me though and I would like to see it in a 42 mm case.

Anyone know the lug to lug height? I suspect it wears much larger than its 37mm diameter would suggest.

Rolex bought Gay Frères years ago, I guess Zenith manufacture that (quite terrible) bracelet under licens. Edit: although I know nothing about IP laws.
