I think the difference in the the different countries is related to the currency exchange rate. From what I understand the prices in Euro and CHF got a 5% increase for the 5167A and 10-13% in Pound and US Dollar.

Managed to pick up my latest piece (5205R) right in the nick of time... was delivered yesterday. Rough way to get a $4k discount, but I’ll take it. Told the dealer I owe him dinner or something at least, he worked hard to make it happen. I know a lot of others around here haven’t been so lucky.
The one that’s amazing to me is the price on some of the higher end pieces... like the 5270p, which is rather low on the secondary market and yet is nearly $20k up from when it was introduced. I wonder if this serves a purpose or if it’s just a “full steam ahead” mentality. |

That premium I paid for my grey 5726 just got a lot cheaper, and now worth every penny.

I would prefer if they raised the prices on the sports models more aggressively to increase the chance that i could buy from a dealer instead of 2nd hand.

Obviously everything they have sitting, eating dust, in inventory right now gets that retail price bump. Quote:

I'm not seeing any prices on the UK site, just blank space at the bottom of each model page where the price used to show up (I have accepted cookies). I'm guessing the 5164 is approaching £30k now, based on the quoted 10% above.

Thank you. That's a £5k increase from when I first had the chance years ago (when I chose the 5711 instead). Ouch !
[Actually, must be closer to £7k, as I am sure it was c£25k last year before the previous rise when I then stupidly chose the 5167! You win some, you lose some I guess. ] |
