Attended an NFL game this weekend (GO HAWKS!)

Grew up in Seattle, and we had previously flown up to the Emerald City to watch the Hawks play during their last two NFC Championship appearances - so needless to say, big Hawks fans. Took advantage of them visiting Miami for the first time since 2013 and drove down from Cocoa Beach for the weekend. Dolphins are 1 of 7 teams hosting fans this year, with the capacity capped at 13,000 fans.

Beautiful stadium and great game, and I must say that this event (similar to our Disney experience) makes you not want to go back to the absolute mosh-pits of years past at things like this. No lines for the bathrooms / concessions, no one immediately next or in front of you, and still the loud fan noise with everyone cheering. We also felt extremely safe, with security hawking people about masks when not eating/drinking, as well as the covers on seats surrounding us. We had an entire row to ourselves, and you can see how they distanced people in the pictures.

Great experience over all. GO HAWKS!!

Nice . I was wondering how it would go being I’m a Patriots ticket holder. Glad to see it’s working with still keeping a distance and being pretty safe. Great pictures too.

Did you win a lottery of ticket holders to get in, or how did that work?

Only season ticket holders were able to purchase tickets, so we went the Stubhub route, which are fully guaranteed. $160 a pop for the tickets, which we felt was well worth it.

Are Pats fans allowed in games this year?

Most importantly, can you still get beers, hot dogs, and other goodies? Looks like a great time.

1000%

No lines at concessions, and you can order from your seat if you'd like as well. No change there!

Looks nice. No fans allowed here in buffalo. I don’t even want to think of what the secondary price would be should they allow 13000 people in lol 160 is very fair.

Not right now. I’m not sure if it will change or not. I was given the option early to opt out for the year without it affecting season ticket status so I took it, I’m not sure what they are telling people week to week.

One thing’s for sure, I have to DVR and watch two teams now, Pat’s and Tampa Bay.

Yes, we felt the same about the price - would do it again in a heartbeat.

GO GAWKS indeed. Lived in Washington state for 30 years until retirement in 2016. Vegas has Raiders but we’ll always be HAWKS fans.

Agree

I think the way it is being handled in Miami could be replicated across the league, as well as other sports.

Awesome. Great pictures, looks like you guys had a great time. Go Hawks! We are 4-0 with no defense.

For sure! Russ is playing his best ball by far. He has more weapons than in the past. It is not just us, no one is really playing much defense these days in the NFL. If we can acquire a pass rusher and another DB we can go far.

I was just saying that yesterday. My bills are rolling on the back of the offense but we were all expecting a stellar D. I don’t see anyone dominating on defense for whatever reason. Weird.

Truly appreciate that, Blansky - but we're actually a foursome!

Can't forget about our smallest Seahawk.

I saw your post and thought wow, stubhub is a great idea to get Bucs tickets for a game. Only two tix were available and they were $1600 each. No games for us this year.

JP, as usual you always have outstanding pictures and your family looks like it’s straight out of a magazine! Thanks for sharing with all of us!

Thank you very much for the kind words!

It must be the Brady effect over there - those prices are insane.

$160? Damn! What a deal. I’ve been to 2 Cowboys games in TX and tickets were $600 in 2012 and $900 in 2016. Saw the Cowboys play in the playoffs in LA and paid $1600 per ticket. Saw the Seahawks in 2014 and $500.

How is this different than a typical fins game?!?

Looks like a great time. This type of experience was the only reason I had chargers (LA) season tickets. The stadium was tiny, which makes everything close and less chaotic. I'm a saints fan but it was fun while it lasted. Didn't renew for the new stadium.

Our NFC Championship tickets (both times in Seattle) were $400...thought it was expensive then, but not compared to those prices!

I’m probably getting taken advantage of because I’m not local

So were you there for the Packers Seahawks NFC Championship game? The one with the crazy comeback and onside kick?
