Picked up this Presmatic recently...on a whim. It's in pretty good shape, imo.
Something different. Looking for a bracelet for it instead.

My 9983-8000 twin-quartz Superior. This was the most expensive watch offered in the Seiko catalogs during the 1970s. Released in 1978, it was also the most accurate, rated at +/- 5 seconds a year. It cost 230,000 yen, which would get you several Rolex watches at that time, or several of the then-recently-discontinued high-end Grand Seiko mechanicals. It's still keeping near-perfect time.

Here's another Grand Seiko 5646-7010. This one is from 1973. Still working great at +2 sec. per day.

I am the second owner. I purchased it from the original owner. He bought it new in 1969 in Korat, Thailand where he was stationed in the Air Force with a military police K9 unit.

I'm starting vintage week with my Seikos so I usually post them in the other thread but I'll put them here to keep this thread updated.

Hope you made out well with the doctor the other day

..That was the picture of him with his dog next to his buddy right..? Guess the comic book is more PC correct...(even with 'doors open'...)

It was an interesting call. This Dr is a cardiac electrophysiologist.. one of many 'fields' of Dr's I've been dealing with re:my ticker. Thanks for asking...
