This is a serial and model number of my SD

They are not perfectly the sames for all the Rolex watches and years of production, but those pics give one idea about fonts and positions

And Rolex use the same fonts longtime now, with some modifications, but the whole Rolex style is easily recognizable.

quit test for gold plating, put a lighter to the bracelet,

if it's plated it should peel. Try it now!

Do it Jocke-style. Use a blowtorch.

Or brass? But it visibly not.

I can see another explanation: it's a peeling of the gold plated surface, when the end links corners touch the watch. Logically, the bracelet and the watch are made from the same material (and same density), gold, so those points must be polished and not scratched.

But any way, an case opening at the local AD must give you the true answer, after all, I saw some stolen watches with the new serial engraved again (but here it's a model number as well )

I hope for you I'm wrong, mate.

I don't like the way the engraving looks at all... looks like the edges are feathered. But you know I am no expert at all, Gabriel.

He'll find out for sure at the AD.

That's one heck of a safe if it took all year to get from that one to this one.
