The reflection of the light from the inner clasp is not normal. Which doesn't really show a very smooth surface like mirror. The laser engraving is 0.001x thicker. I would say as kevinbb19 said. Another way of telling is the price you paid for it! So tell us what you paid and we will end this madness.

Did you really just suggest something is fake based on a 0.001x difference in laser engraving based on a picture?

Or reflection of light from the inside of a clasp.

Perhaps this section is not for you.

Looks real to me.
My second check will be to hear how the movement sounds.
There is a distinct movement sound (Tikitikitiktik) that only Rolex gives.... its music to my ears.

Sorry, it's a fake. Look at the OP's picture. Notice the final position of the coronet on the screw-down crownFake Sub.jpg

Real Sub.jpg. Now, look at my real Sub. Compare the position of the coronet on the crown. The OP's Sub is obviously fake.

Not sure about the watch, but your manicurist sure does crip that thumb nail pretty close.

they usually are a hair off center. Not quite perfect. Even on rolex stock pics its off by a hair. At least from most of the subs i've seen.

With that being said, as a new member here and still learning a few things.. I'm a little annoyed that "GLADIATOR" pretty much cried fake from the get go and has even gone so far as to claim there are several issues of concern without so much as even a word about what those might be is pretty alarming and concerning.

A mod and tons of members even asked this person to say what he thinks the issues are and still nothing. Guys, whats the point of posting if you're not going to help educate the crowd? This is ridiculous, op is looking for help, not somebody to cry fake with nothing to back it up. Next time, don't cry fake on somebody's watch unless you know it's fake, and you clearly have no clue. You just come off as smug.

You should post some pics of your fakes with your matching warranty card #'s .. Im sure we'd all love to see how good they're making these things now?

Jokes right lol

But to avoid confusion for newcomers, none of my Rolex crown's coronet sit upright and neither does most of the Rolex I see in ADs. This is a common misconception with authenticating Rolex.
Logically, it wouldn't be possible to ensure a Rolex crown and its coronet to sit upright (even from factory) because the gaskets within the tube and crown would compress over time and wear.

People don't elaborate because whilst it educates the newer members, it also educates the people making these. I have started to see some scary good fakes in the last 6 months coming through the doors, anything we can do to deny them the knowledge of where they are going wrong is a good thing.

It won't make a difference if these points are elaborated publicly

Fake/replica factories replicate their watches using a genuine sample that is dissected and inspected to OCD lengths. Mistakes are corrected in future release/iteration from the fake/replica factory.

Throughout the month/years, there are different iterations of fake/replica being released as each batch improves on it's previous iteration (or they change based on what Rolex changes - e.g. single line vs double line laser-engraved rehaut)

I agree that publicly scrutinizing a fake probably not impact production it may help the people passing these off as real. The more they know the differences they more than can use smoke and mirrors to pass them off as real. I think Gladiator was taking into consideration the Op has 15 total posts, probably all from this thread. I’m sure he’s a good guy just trying to educate himself. But unfortunately too many scammers come here trying to dissect their watch so they can better rip people off. My guy says if Op had more history the folks with concerns would have contacted him through PM or publicly shared their concerns.

Hi guys, I’m new in the forum. Until sometime ago I thought I had bought a watch (rolex) and that the question closed there. Later, I met your forum, with a community of enthusiasts, many of whom are real specialists. It is a pleasure to read your posts and to draw as much as there is behind a watch. On the other hand, frequenting the forum at times makes me very apprehensive about the rolex world: it's possible that after buying a watch from an authorized reseller I have to worry about its authenticity for a slightly misaligned crown or that I have to look at it with the doubt of having been cheated?

Is my 116010LN real?

Hello all,

It's just crazy how much attention this thread has gotten. I would like thank you all for giving and sharing your honest opinions.

Good news is I received a phone call from rsc that my watch was ready to be picked up. And yes, it's authenticated and appraised by rsc.

Thanks again for sharing your experiences and knowledges and I sure would like to be a long time member in this forum.
Here is the letter I received and nice pouch from Rolex.

Have all wonderful day!
