114060 review
I wanted to give my thoughts on the 114060. For as long as I can remember, I always wanted a Sub date. I finally was able to purchase one in 2008 and loved it. Unfortunately, I fell into hard times and had to sell it ( on TRF) in 2009. A few months ago I bought a brand new 116710LN and only kept it for 3 months. Something just wasn't right. It just wasn't singing to me. So I swapped it for a 114060 and let me tell you what! This watch is fantastic. I am so drawn to its simple beauty and elegance. It's symmetry and overall look is amazing. It flies somewhat under the radar without the cyclops and I like that. It looks so military and rugged to me and I love that. I no longer want the Sub date and this watch is all I need. It's my daily wearer. It goes everywhere with me. I just get lost in it when I gaze down at it. I have already trained my brain to remember the date when I wake up everyday, so no need for the sub to tell me this. I haven't forgotten the date a single time recently throughout the day. I recommend giving this one a try and for you 114060 owners out there
The 116610 just looks..." Off" to me now for some reason. It's a beauty no doubt, but as for me, it's the 114060 all day. In fact, I love it so much, I just bought one BNIB from SOHAIL because the one I have was used with someone else's memories and I want to create my very own story with this one . Thanks for reading. Thanks for sharing your great story. I bought my 116610 BNIB from Sohail. (Great seller, by the way.)
Once you get the Sub bug, a GMT just won't cut it. I have had this watch for several months and still stare at it. I love it. |

And I agree that the 114060 is a much cleaner look. I just need the date.

Enjoyed your story, so much so that I decided to put on my 14060 for the first time in about three weeks.
Cheers!

Great story....I just went and put mine on. I agree there is something about the clean face. I also love the new ceramic version.
