Congrats, it looks really good in the mirror shot. If you can handle the weight then it's all smooth sailing after that. It's good to see the black dial get some love. I miss the matte dial at times, wish I could afford both.

Congrats! Perfect fit.

You might actually have the more rare version of the 126660!

It is just trimmed down enough (lug to lug & end link to end link) to be visually “good” on my wrist this time.

I’ve always loved the watch, loved it for what it was..A BIG WATCH...respected the technology/engineering, loved the looks! It just sat ever so slightly too long, top to bottom...but with the slight lug changes, bracelet change....it’s sitting very comfortably on my wrist...and most important...sitting very comfortably in my minds eye when I look down at it. Yesssssss ....finally!!

If you haven’t tried the new version, you may want to try it on. My wrists are a touch smaller than yours and the new shorter lugs and end link to end link, made a big difference for me. Still a very thick watch , but as others have said...this watch isn’t supposed to look small or like the other 40mm professional models.

Well, that looks perfect on your wrist. And, yes, it is a big watch. But sometimes we just have to love a watch for what it is, big or small. I have had everything from a 34mm OP to a 47mm Panerai, and loved them for what they are. And there is nothing superfluous about the size of the DSSD. A miracle of engineering, at least IMO, to get that depth rating out of a watch that size. Many other brands have larger watches with not nearly that WR.

I did try that previous model when it first came out, and found it very unwieldy. This new one has perfect proportions. And it looks smashing on your wrist.

Your thread almost makes me want to change my order at the AD from a 114060 to this one!

Congratulations!

Cheers,
Carl

Totally agree with everything you said! It took me a while to come to terms with accepting and embracing the DSSD for what it is, and it’s supposed to be a BIG BEASTLY watch....it’s NOT supposed to be small or look/function like the 40mm watches.
I’ve always absolutely loved the look and respected the engineering of it but, always (until recently) looked at it, VS the size of my other watches. Have put those thoughts behind me, and am enjoying it for what it is and what it’s supposed to be! The lug/end link size changes sealed the deal!
