JC DeepSea Owners

To all you JCDS owners out there, have you found it to be a good daily wearer or is it only for certain occasions? Has there been times where you’ve worn it and just felt that it wasn’t suitable? Any other wearability issues?

Sure is a stunner and no doubt an awesome watch; that dial is intoxicating

Yeah, I find it hard to wear with a shirt/suit, it’s just too big for the cuff. I prefer to wear it very casual. Hope this helps.

No issues here.
Granted, I’m dressed casual the majority of the time but have worn it with a suit on cruises etc.
My most loved watch.

Regrets ... I have a few ... this is one

I loved this one but for me it wasn't a daily wearer, just too large and heavy for my liking to be that.

Having said that, it has killer wrist presence and I can honestly say, this one made me smile a stupid big smile every time I wore it.

Awesomeness wrapped on your wrist is what it is

I have the same watch but black dial
I have many others, so I can’t say it’s daily, but I have worn in many different situations.

-shorts and t shirt
-business casual
-suit
-dinner
-beach

It works for all of the above. Fits fine under my Brooks Brothers shirt cuffs. Wear it with confidence...great watch!

Just bought a DSSD JC and kept it less than a day. I had owned two of the prior generation watches with the black face years ago and thought it might be fun to own the updated one with the JC dial. I was wrong and it did not work for me. I have a 7.5-7.75 inch wrist depending on the weather and I did not like the bulk of the watch nor how it fit or the wear. I have 47 mm Panerai Divers and a 49 mm Breitling in the collection and they all wear better for me. It appears that the best large Rolex diver for me is the SD43. The fit is perfect for me, minus the bulk of the DSSD. I will say the dial on the JC is nice. Try it on before you buy it.

It can be challenging if you have tailored tight cuffs in a suit, otherwise I wouldn't assume it simply can be worn because you like it. What I mean to say is that no matter how much you like it, you won't be able to hide the weight.
I've owned the Deepsea three times, twice it just felt too big, this third time, it's officially here to stay. So as you can see, it can be quite unique for ownership but I enjoy it very much. It's my favorite watch now. My wrist is about a 7.5" and all my other watches are 40mm or under.

Great daily wearer for me. I also have a larger wrist though 7 7/8 inch. It looks great with casual wear and in a suit. A rubberb is great to change up the look.

I have had it for 2 weeks and it's turned into my daily wearer. I have a sub also but usually reach for the JC. I have a 7 inch flat wrist and it wears great. I think it's comfortable for sure. It was weird going back to the sub for a day. I love it and have no regrets. It has presence but isn't gaudy.

It's not limited to JC only. I have no issue wearing my DSSD.

Owned the original Deep Sea from year one and have never had any issues with the weight. Other than when I went back to a GMT it felt like a toy watch for weeks. I miss the sound of ticking that you get with smaller case watches but outside that its ideal.

Love this watch! Owned it in the past, but ultimately, it’s just too big for me. (IMO) If I felt the fit was good for me...I’d say it’s more of a casual wear watch. I only wore with jeans, shorts, t-shirts, etc...
I think it can be worn with a suit... I just wouldn’t have done it

I love this watch, only if my wrist weren't so small.

Love mine!!!!! I don’t mind the weight at all. It lets me know it’s there, and it’s the King if all dive watches.

I wear mine in a daily rotation with AP ROOs. No issues and very comfortable on my flat 7.75'' wrist. I've had both the older and newer versions and I can say that the newer version wears more balanced. I usually dress SoCal casual but no problems with my dress shirts as I had the left cuff made slightly larger than the right to accommodate thicker watches.

I think I wore mine everyday the first 6 months I had it. Now that the (long) honeymoon is over, I tend not to wear to work except on a casual Friday (yeah, we're one of those offices).

I didn't particularly mind it, but as some said it doesn't really fit under a cuff.

I love mine and wear it daily. I have larger wrists so it never feels big or heavy and it looks like a normal size watch on my wrist. I never have problems with shirt cuffs, etc. that these other folks are having. I also bought the black with blue Rubber B to change it up in the summer. It's the perfect Rolex for me.

Too big for a daily wearer for me but makes for a great weekend watch!

Ahh the great DSSD dilemma . I'm on #3 (not a JC but it seems most of this conversation is regarding size) Got my first when it came out 10 years ago, wore it as my daily for a year or so, loved it. This was also when I was getting into larger watches such as AP and Panerai, then sold it for an chance to grab a Rail Dial SD (really wish I still had that!) Always kind of missed DSSD after flipping. So I convinced myself that I needed to get one back and sourced a preowned for a decent price about 3 years ago, had it 6 months and flipped it on a deal for a Daytona, went from HUGE to small...and hard to read...

So, number 3 - My brother had been wanting a DSSD JC for as long as they have been out and now the new version comes out. I helped him find one and he did the deal. After wearing his for a couple hours I was convinced that the improvements on the new version with the new movement but more importantly the newly designed bracelet made all the difference in the world and bought number 3, in fact I unloaded an SD43 to make it happen. After a while the cyclops started to bug me on the SD 43.. So anyway, long story but you see, this is an illusive model sometimes more attractive from over the fence than on your wrist. Make sure you try it first, it's an amazing piece but tastes come and go with me and it could never be my one and only. That being said it is my only "BIG" watch currently, well maybe my 46mm Nav fits that as well. Okay - best of luck!

Just got one in Dec, thought I would love it but immediately realized it just sits too high on the wrist for my taste. After only wearing it a couple times I started seeking out a trade.

I was able to get my LSA within 2.5 months (CHNR, Black Daytona C, and D-Blue Deepsea) with the Deepsea being my most recent acquisition (just last weekend). These watches are equally stunning in their own way and I have trouble rotating them (I love them all); but I find that when I'm not wearing the Deepsea I miss it most because of it's heft, weight, presence, and the dial is just awesome!

I'm thankful to have such a problem!

I wear my 126660 D-sea every day with all types of dress, from jeans to Italian suits. Nothing this watch cannot compliment in my opinion.

I also own SD 16600 (my wife wears) and SD43 126600 (great watch), but the JC gets all the wrist time since buying it in December at Fourtane grand opening SDGO as their very first customer.

Here I am wearing my SD43 in front of Fourtane (awaiting the opening).

Here is my first site of this watch:

Casual with jeans:

Wearing with sport jacket to business meeting:

Beautiful lume:

My favorite pic:

Yes, it fits under shirt cuff:

I love my JC Deepsea. If you wear really tight cuffs, it might be an issue for a few shirts, but in general it's not an issue. For me, it's one of the most comfortable watches I own, especially after removing the diver extension.

The clasp is amazing and the dial is beautiful. I think you will love it, after about one day, it felt totally normal to me.
