Perpetual vs. hand winder

Hi all,

So, I was wondering... are there any cons to buying a non-perpetual Rolex (for example a 6694)?
- Over time, on average, do they need service more often or less often?
- Will the crown tube (or any other part for that matter) show signs of wear from winding more often?

Sorry if this question has been asked a gazillion times, I haven't found a topic on this yet.

In the real world any non automatic watch has much less parts to go wrong than any automatic. As for winding everyday no problem as for tubes etc they are always replaced at RSC service no matter manual or automatic. The manual wind Rolex movements are bulletproof, but just like any mechanical movement normal routine service, is the main factor in longevity of life
