It's a nice piece color wise (and rare) but a lot of money for a basic entry level 3 hander Patek.

One thing to bear in mind, is the size, I’m sure you’re aware/tried on, it wears larger than a 67 / 64. But stunning all the same. Gorgeous blue and keeper. I would buy no questions.

of course I can afford it and it's my first PP, I love the color and polishing. How's is it compares with a 43mm in terms of size?

Still my most worn watch since it’s purchase - my first Patek too. No regrets for me.

This is a beautiful watch, no doubt. I owned it for a short period but I realized I couldn't get over that it didn't fit me well - it just seemed too large for this type of watch. I have a 6.5" wrist, so most definitely on the small side.
I sold it and put the money into a 5167R (thankfully I only lost a few hundred dollars). I personally have no regrets, but that's me. If you think the size works for you, get it. It truly is a stunner, and if it matters it comes with a decent secondary market value premium. Although, not nearly as much as C24 would lead you to believe. |

Personally these types of questions/threads make me cringe bc only you know if you should be it because YOU like it. My .02 though is that you need to try it on before committing. It wear larger than the 5167. I like the blue of it and would have pullled the trigger on it myself, but upon trying on, it wears huge on me. Between the 42mm size and the lug overhang it looked ridiculous on my 6.5" wrist. Worse look than an AP44 even bc of the slim case

OP, not trying to sway you one way or the other but the big size is true. I agree with those comments. To me it wears so well and I love wearing it with suits. One positive on the size, it is one my thinnest watch so the profile is comfortable and elegant. If you get it, post a wrist shot!

By far the coolest Aquanaut, I really like this one and I say that as someone who doesn’t really like Aquanauts.

I have the green version of that watch and it is one of my favorites. Wears well, can dress it up or dress it down.

Op , when a guy is spending this kind of money you are very wise to get the advise of others. There is wisdom in the abundance of councilors. Never had a 5168 but they are gorgeous timepieces. Enjoy ! James in San Antonio

It’s a phenomenal piece. Just realize it’s WG and wears comparably much heavier than it’s 5167a cousin. Nonetheless if given the opportunity, don’t think ... do.

I wasn’t sold at first but I really like the blue dial. If you have the wrist for it I’d go for it

I did get it! Awesome timepiece. It seems a few pieces came to the city as I saw some selling in the grey market in the past week
