Bundling

What do you think about offering a bundle to AD for 5172G and 5968A? Do you an AD would find this reasonable?

Absolutely. It’s not like you are after 5711/5712/5167.

I think it could work but at the same time since there has been a delay with the 5172g deliveries and that its still new, maybe some AD's wouldn't bundle on that piece yet

Good Advice. I've noticed 5172G is delayed. Maybe I'll wait before putting that offer out there.

Waiting stinks - put out feelers to a few ADs - someone should bite

Is the common logic that you'd have to bundle something far worse than a 5172G with one of those?

It's true that those three are the super duper popular ones, and all the rest are just riding coattails.

Let’s just remember two things, firstly ‘far worse’ is not a term you can attach to any Patek and secondly the 5172G is the superior piece.

Why on earth would an AD bundle a brand new model which by all accounts is going to be a great piece with a highly desirable steel Aquanaut? Maybe if you add a PC and a Calatrava, otherwise pass the bong.

Haha, yes, you're absolutely right.

Although, when comparing a Patek to a Patek, you arguably can use the term "worse" or "far worse." :D

I do agree that even the "worst" Patek is still far better than many other brand's "bests."

The 5172G might be the superior piece, but I don't think the market hype agrees. Granted, I don't care about that, but an AD would during bundling.

Sounds doable but might required some legwork. As in not every AD would snap call that offer but I bet someone would.

I honestly don’t see and AD going for this deal.

Both very much in demand.

Currently 5968a sells for around 80-85k. New 5712g can go for 60k easily. I don't see why any AD would want to take this deal (aquanaut + nautilus).

Because it wasn't about that deal in the first place. OP referred to 5968A and 5172G...
