I have this problem too...
It’s a problem from manufacturing.
After the button is being assembled on manufacture they need to put a little special glue to block the button. In some case that point of glue it’s not enough and the button is screwed down.
Take it to service. All proceeds duration it’s around 20 minutes.

Do you have the tip? If you do but say you don't then I wonder how much you could get for it on ebay?

OP, did you notice any change in operation before you lost the pusher? I ask as I recently noticed my start/stop pusher feels a little odd. Maybe it was always this way but I never noticed before...

The start click is aboiy half way down the operation of the button and gives an audible crisp click, but the stop is soft and silent. Then, if I don't press the reset pusher firmly when resetting from about 30 seconds through the sweep (I. E. If I press it just enough to engage the reset) the second hand almost creeps back to 12 o'clock rather than snaps back. Not sure if I have an issue but I've not been able to take it in yet given the pandemic.

Luckily I registered online so would expect any issues to still be under warranty.
