I like RG for special occasion while WG or Platinum for stealth. Brands like VC and PP make really special RG pieces.

I'm a fan of rose gold. I'm glad I went with rose gold for my TT DateJust. This is probably my favorite watch, eve more than my YG DD.

Rose Gold comeback?
Maybe the 2nd decade of the millennium has brought a new appreciation for the rose gold alloy. The appeal of certain aesthetics rises and falls according to factors that aren’t always obvious. This holds true for yellow vs. rose gold as well as white metals like white gold vs. platinum.

In my eye, a poorly designed color alloy in a RG piece sometimes appears much like a tired, tarnished yellow gold piece. But when the metallurgist and the designer collaborate to celebrate the pink in pink gold, then you get a bolder interpretation closer to polished brass or light bronze.

If you line up models from PP, AP and Rolex you can sometimes see these differences. So perhaps the 3rd decade ahead will see a resurgence in bolder RG.

The beauty in rose gold is that it appears as different shades in different lighting. It can look rose, pink, red, white, SS, yellow. Whereas SS always looks SS, and yellow always looks yellow.
