Would you exchange a Sub 5513 with a Hulk?

I got the offer for an even trade. The Hulk is mint from 2018 with full set. My 5513 is an original Maxi, MK3 from 1978, watch only.

Would you do that trade?

Hells no. Bro, do not do this. You can get an LVC easily with patience or a budget, you cannot get that 5513. I would add it.
Unless you just hate that watch and it makes you vomit, no way in hell I would trade.

5513 for me.

hmmm this is a tough one. Depend on what else is in your collection.... however, I would lean very heavily to keep that 5513. Its already got a gorgeous patina and the case looks to be in great condition.

Your 5513 is worth way more than a comic book character. That would be a terrible trade.

Send the watch to RSC, obviously instruct not to replace anything lol, it’s comes back with papers and you could and I stress could have something on your hands worth 25K v 12K for a Hulk from a grey....well in the UK anyway

Zero percent chance, and I love the Hulk, but if there's every buyer's remorse, you'll have a hell of a time getting that one back vs. a Hulk, which you can source right now if you want to pay the premium.

I’m assuming you’re asking from an investment point of view. If that’s the case then hell no. Yours is and always will be worth way more.

But if you’re determined to make this trade give me one month and I’ll get one at retail and make that trade plus cash on my end

After you tell the other party "No, thank you," there will be a small voice in your mind that says "maybe you should have entertained the trade further."

I'm here to tell you to ignore that voice. Keep the 5513.

I am quoting this to get others views, not to bash Rolli :

But I often see confusion by collectors with “papers” , meaning the original warranty certificate issued and part of the original “kit” and RSC “service papers”. To me, an RSC service paper does not increase the value of a watch. It could be seen to legitimize a watch in some way, but if this is not an issue, it really adds nothing, to my mind anyway. Do others feel the same?

New service papers from Rolex isn't going to add $10K+ to that watch.

I agree with you. I wouldn't pay a dime more for service papers but as you stated it does help in legitimizing the watch.

It's a NO for me as well. But to be fair, the only thing I'd do with a Hulk is sell it. That watch has zero appeal for me.

Looks like it is a resounding no.
I would not do this trade either. No chance and I love and have the LVc.
