Well, there were 7 available on C24 few days ago.
Now there are 4. Range of price 27-29 K. It seems that there is market for this reference, as expected.
I'm not sure what was the final price on the davidsw one, but I cannot imagine they went below 27 K.
There are a lot of people that are keeping pushing the narrative of the MRSP for this reference. Usually are the same people that say the Snoopy will be in mass production and that Omega will make it for 10 years, and that actually will have a discount from ADs.
They are keeping saying this even when are presented with evidences proving the opposite.
Nobody understands why they push this point of view.
I think it's peculiar and all the assumptions are made without strong bases, but maybe they know something we don't know and maybe they are texting directly to the Omega CEO.

Another potential and totally believable explanation, is that Raynald Aeschlimann has been secretly replaced by his evil twin Hans Aeschlimann, and he is plotting together with Rolex fanboys on how to inflate the best hot Omega reference in years.

Unlike the other anniversary models, this will not be limited production. So, talk to me in two years when you can find one for 6k with a discount.

Nobody knows if they are really sold.
I noticed that some of the pieces appeared and disappeared.
I think some of them are gone for sure, but others are just playing with the listing.
As they are also playing with the price, the same Snoopy today was at 38.5K.
This elasticity in prices means that the resellers are testing the market in my opinion.

anyway I totally see the value and the hefty premium, but to be realistic pricing this way above 30K is a bit excessive at this time.
It's true that demand is this huge and basically the deliveries are not really happening.
It's also true that I'm not seeing any of them from the peoples on diamonds district in NYC. Thing that makes me very happy!

Yep.
Not so tight control on these babies from the OB anyway.

I'm tempted to send the C24 screenshot to my associates. They delivered so limited pieces in US that would be really easy to identify who is flipping them and what is the OB that is not really paying much attention to the clients they are selling to.

Most recent prices ranging 34.6-39K.
After about 4 months from the presentation the Snoopy 50 has a huge premium, and realistically it will keep performing at least like a white face Daytona.

So far Omega is doing a better job in controlling the flippers in US when comparing to Europe. But this might change pretty soon. As one of the most recent watches is from a reseller in NJ.

Anyway, Omega checklist:
- Create an highly desirable reference= check
- Create a long waiting list= check
- Create buzz and mystery around the watch= check
- Assure preservation of the value= check
- Build on the brand history= check
- Limit the flippers and speculation= will see

Objectively they are doing a pretty good job. I would like to see even less Snoopy on the secondary market, but so far it's acceptable. Hopefully the rate of flipping will stays within the current limits.

I love my Planet Ocean, and really like several Omega models, but I've never been a chrono guy, thus luke warm on the Speedmaster; but...I have no interest in a watch that features a cartoon character.

Understandable.
The Snoopy is like this, definitely not for everybody.
It takes some personality to wear a watch with a cartoon character.
The PO is great 👍

After 6 months since Omega opened the official deposit list the premium is steadily above 10K.
We have seen about 15 - 20 pieces hitting the secondary market.
With this rate of "flipping" how many watches would you expect to be on the secondary market at 1 year mark?

Less than 150? or more?

If it stays below 150 I would imagine the premium remaining above 10K.

What do you think?

That is about $30K, no?
Seems in line with the current market.
20K premium holding at the moment, as there are very few on the secondary market.

Thought I would revive this thread rather than starting a new one.

The 50th anniversary Snoopy is a watch I feel like I need in my collection someday, but not necessarily today. It fits my color scheme and personality very well. As we all know the market for watches, as with many consumer goods, is absolutely crazy right now, of course that includes this piece as well as many others. This reference was supposed to be a regular production piece but anecdotes suggest supply is very constrained. Also, though I am generally not a fan of paying >MSRP its not a deal breaker. Given those two market forces and my patience, I've listed a few options I've thought of below but would love to hear your thoughts. A couple of other factors: First, I'm not a catch-and-release guy and second, I do regularly wear all of my pieces.

A) pay market price and don't look back
B) use the funds for a non-hyped piece today and revisit the Snoopy in 12-18 months
C) get on a dealer list (not sure if this is a thing with Omega's)

thanks all,
J

Try to hop on the official list. At the moment they are closed in most countries but they might reopen briefly in US.
I’ve heard that some boutiques in UK have lists still opened.
The Snoopy is amazing, but I wouldn’t pay the premium to the reseller (for any watch).
Try to get in contact with Boutiques.
ADs might get some, but you need to be a very strong client.
