Is this actually measured? Curious to hear

15400 obviously. I'd go 15202 if you are concerned about the size.

15450 is okay for a 6.8” wrist but you need to buy an extra link

Here is my 37mm 15450 on 6,7 wrist, perfectly matching with my current expectations (... whereas 12 years ago I was wearing & enjoying a roo...) :

Let me rephrase. Which model would wear closer. 15450 to sub no date or 15400 to sub date ceramic?

I'm simply afraid that the 15450 is to small/feminine or that the 15400 would look like i borrowed my dad's watch. I saw a lot of picks of small wrists with the 15400 and in my humble opinion many looked way to big and not classy at all.
I have a 6.5" wrist and have owned a white dial 15400, blue dial 15450 (both since sold b/c of size) and now have a 15202, which I love.

15450: way too small and dainty (bracelet in particular is too narrow/tapered). It drove me crazy. IMO, it does NOT wear like a 40mm rolex. I hear this all the time, and don't agree at all.
15400: I could pull it off, but barely. Given that white will wear bigger, you have to be especially careful on a smaller wrist. It felt like a clock after a while.

I think the 15400 is ideal for any wrist that is 7" or bigger. You're right the borderline and it may look fine on you. You really need to get a hold of a 41mm RO and try it on before deciding.

41mm is huge. Just saw one today and it’s really not for me. 6.8” wrist.

That is the enigma of AP. Suddenly dial size is a decision point. It can be quite disorienting if you are used to Rolex watches.

For me it’s all about the lug to lug measurement. I have a 6.5 wrist size and just got the blue dial 15400. It looked and felt big at first, but after a couple of hours of wear you get use to it. The 15400 wears similar to a PAM in my opinion. My daily watch is a Rolex OP 36.
I realize I don’t like watches that are top heavy.

IMO the 15300 is the classic size, 15400 looked way to big on my wrist..bigger than C Daytona or a Nautilus..

Based on the pics on this thread, the watch cannot at least be any bigger than what's already going on..

Wow, looks amazing on you. I truly cannot wait to get one in Blue for my approx 6.25” flat wrist.

I have sub dates (ceramic) and a sub 14060m. I can wear both models fine altough have a slight preference for the 14060m sizewise for my wrist. I'm not a fan of big/oversized watches.

I'm leaning towards the 15450 but some YouTube videos with the 15400 on a 6.5 inch wrist is making me question again as it looked fine and propotional.

Its a bit hard to measure but i think the top of my wrist is about 2.16 (5.5cm) so i asume lug overhang won't be an issue with the 15400

Here is a pick from my sub on my wrist:

Please let me know what you think. 15400 or 15450?
You should be comfortable with a 15400ST and so would a 15450. But in the end it's also a question of preference, do you like having a larger wrist presence or small wrist presence.

It's amazing how different angles taken of the same watch will look markedly different. Here's my 15450 on my 6.5" wrist and shown alongside a few other watches in my collection. At 37mm it looks more like the blue Datejust 41 than the adjacent 36mm gold DJ. I think the case size compensates to a great extent for a smaller dial making the 450 a viable option. Odd how a 36mm vintage piece may look appropriate while a slightly larger sports watch may appear undersized on the same wrist.

i still think 37 is the goat size for AP's 3120. it fits the watch best.

I have 6.75” wrist and the 41mm in black dial looks great on my wrist. However, you are looking at a white dial which will make it look bigger than my black one. So perhaps a 39 mm 15300 may be better as few here has suggested. I had a 36mm datejust before with silver dial and personally felt that dial size was small for me. Good luck.

I have a 6.7 in wrist. For me the 37mm looked good and felt comfortable, with 41 just too much watch, confirmed when I saw a colleague with what must have been the 41. i spotted it from across the room and despite being the grey dial it looked massive. I didn’t try a 39 as there was no chance to join the 3+ year waitlist.

I think the right size depends what you are used to and how you want to wear the watch. I will be wearing it as a dress watch with a suit in a fairly reserved company, so don’t need the extra dial area. The watch I wear the most is a 36mm King Seiko from the 70s. If I wore a Seiko diver to work then maybe the 41 would be right.

I have a 6.8” wrist. Here’s a 41mm 15500 vs the new 38mm ROC. At first the 38mm seemed small but now seems perfect while the 15500 oversized. I want a Jumbo!

It depends on the profile of the wrist. Flat 6.8 wrist is just nice for 15400. If round wrist, it depends again if you like the lugs to extend a little beyond the top view of the wrist.

6.25inch wrist and I much prefer the 41mm. 37mm is too dainty for me.

Wearing a 41mm in the pic

clear lug overhang from both sides on the integrate link. That watch is too big for you.

Tried this on a boutique and it is unsized, thus the overhang

Sorry man, but the lug overhang will still be the same even if its resized. Dont believe the salesperson when he/she says the watch fits you fine.

That is an integrated end link like I said and won't change even when sized.

Any watch would strap on if sized but it won't change the overhang. It's big my friend unless you are going for the oversized look.

Oh OK I see what you guys mean. The lugs are "fixed" and it doesn't really fit the contour of my wrists? Is that it?

Correct. Don’t listen to the salesperson. A 15450 will probably fit you best
