RG GMT 126715chnr on leather strap

Been looking for ways to use this in a less “blingy” way, specially for business meetings.

Couldn’t find any pics so here are some if any 126715chnr owners are looking.

This is an old strap so it’s not the final look. But I like it a lot! Now looking at a some options, trying to see if I find one where I can use the Rolex clasp.

Any ideas on what straps can hold the Rolex clasp?

I wish I could say it works, but I’m afraid to my eyes it works only with the original gold bracelet. It just looks super weird on leather in my opinion

I don’t think any modern Rolex look good on leather. Or nato. Rubber sometimes looks good. IMHO, of course.

RG GMT 126715chnr on leather strap

Well, I think it looks pretty good. Not better than bracelet, just looks good. It’s a good alternative, makes the watch be 10x more usable, as it’s hard to wear RG in different situations, and you might still want to use it.

And about modern Rolexes not fitting on ‘straps’, you must have not seen oysterflex? Same thing, just rubber with a shape.

I think looks good. Look for Rolex leather bands from the Daydate 36 MM series 11813X or the Datejust series 11613X which came from factory with leather bands and PM clasps.

Here a couple of leather bands with the WG clasp from my gone 116139:

The supercase is too strong and prominent for a leather strap, unfortunately

Don't worry about it. If you like it just rock it. No need for Internet strangers to approve

I came across this thread randomly. I have to say, very nice strap/watch combo sir. The root beer looks very nice with a brown strap.

I think it looks nice. Then again, I like the look of watches on straps.

I like the look. But I generally prefer straps.

I think it works better on the Daytona because you have the endlinks attached to the case so it smooths the transition.

Looks good in my opinion. That RG bracelet would be a bit much for me at least and seems like for you a too. Contact some of the higher end strap makers and they will get you sorted.
