fresh or salt water? pool or ocean? I think we need more info to determine the safety of this endeavor.

I know that at 43mm the Sky Dweller is a fair size - but will the extra weight really affect your buoyancy and cause you to sink?

I was always told to soak in fresh water for a few minutes after it has been in salt. I have done this with my Sub and never had any issues. Most divers do this with their camera too.
Just washing with fresh water doesn't always get all the salt residue out of all the nooks and cranny's. Soaking in fresh water will help dissolve any salt that is left.

How about a supplementary question?

Obviously the SkyDweller is waterproof.

Is there, however, any risk of sand grains getting under the bezel aka the Command Ring?

thats not WR resistance related, thats corrosion related. Pretty sure its not an issue anyway with 904L steel as its specifically more corrosion resistant. I still rinse mine anyway, but i don't soak it.

It will withstand anything but urine, so take it off before changing a diaper or answering certain ads on Craigslist.

You can swim in any Rolex, fresh or salt water. It would be pretty pathetic to spend thousands of dollars on a watch that you couldn't swim in.

You're all set to swim....would recommend washing it off though in fresh water when done if you're in the ocean or a heavily chlorinated pool. Unlikely necessary just a habit of mine.

But who's going to make the rest of your foursome?

As long as you don't accidentally dip down to 350+ ft you should be alright

So you know by now the degree of water resistance is not the issue. To me the only issue is how close to rocks and/or coral will you be. I’ve come very close to hitting rocks with my arms so I don’t wear anything expensive if the beach is rocky or the currents are strong.

I wear a
Garmin watch on one wrist and a SubC on the other.
I was in Florida last week at a beach and my wife said
"Why don't you take your Rolex off before you go in the water?"
I had to chuckle, she had no idea it was meant for the water, and by the way the Garmin really isn't, though it seemed to survive.

Yes, but it prefers SoBe FL. Others preferences include the Maldives.

If your sledding behind a nuclear sub, I wouldn’t recommend it. Not due to water, but radiation
