3rd PAM Recommendation

I currently own a PAM563 and a PAM610 that I consider a base "brother/sister" combination. I am looking to add a third Panerai in the Luminor 1950 case. The three I am considering are all favorites: the 233, 1305, and 372. While I do agree that 44mm would be a more appropriate size, I am clearly open to 47mm. I have other dive, GMT options in my collection, though they are not Panerai such that complication really isn't important to me so much as overall look. The 233 is appealing with its domed crystal, sandwich dial, size. The 1305 would add a Submersible to my collection and I would likely keep it on a rubber strap which is something I don't currently have in my collection. The 372 is obviously the "purest" Luminor 1950 and has the most heritage. I would be looking for a plexi crystal version.

I am eager just to hear your input and see pictures which direction I should go. My collection currently consists of two Rolex Submariners, an Explorer II, a GMT-Master II, a Datejust 41, an Omega Speedmaster Professional, and an IWC Pilot Chronograph in addition to the Panerai I mentioned above. This would be my 10th watch and round out my collection for some time to come.

Out of the three you have narrowed it down to. Two of the most iconic PAMs have been mentioned. The 372 and the 233. This really is a tough choice. Really up to you how it wears and how it feels on you. It really is a toss up. I have smallish six and a half inch wrists and a 44mm PAM is just the absolute limit for me. But if you can pull 47mm off, I’d say go for the 372...

All 3 are really great choices. Given what you have, I'd say 372. If you really want a rubber strap, add one to one of your Subs.

I owned a 372 twice about two hears apart. Bith times i ended up trading for another piece. I came across a 233 few minths ago that I brought home. I really love the 233 on the wrist. Super comfy and amzimg wrist presence. In fact it rekindled my Panerai interest. Give the 233 a try.

PAM 233 is absolutely spectacular. 10 bar, manual wind, gmt, date function, sandwich dial. ticks every box i would want to tick. im seriously considering selling off my ceramic daytona and picking up the 233. fantastic in every way. perfection.

great pic.

well it looks like you like long power reserves with your two pams. I have the 368 and 190. before the 368, I had the 233 dot for many years. its one of the only 44mm that has dome ...and it is sapphire! the 372 is dome but plexi. Some love the plexi look, but I like the robustness of sapphire. the 233 is my favorite GMT implementations due its simple look (no 24 hour dial)...plus you can hide the GMT hand. its also one of the only PAMs that have date and is a manual wind, so it stays lower on the wrist. my buddy found me a 368 and I was in love. the 47mm 1950 case is probably my most favorite case of all watches. Has perfect proportions! Ti case, brown dial, gold hands and PR indication on the back to keep even a cleaner dial! Good luck
