I have heard of Spider Man 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and Shrek 3, but no GMT-III!
Think your AD was misinformed or he was talking about the NEW additions made to the GMT-II. (ie ceramics, triple lock, maxi) |

Never heard of a GMT-III so I would say your source got his wires crossed most likely with the new GMT-II with the ceramic bezel as mentioned by mfer.

I think the stooges are hilarious, but as destructive as they can be I don't think they could harm the new GMT-II

Agreed!
From reading here and wearing out the Rolex website, I think I know more then a couple of the people there and just kind of use them to hand me the timepieces. Mike |

In fact, I would think that GMT III is referring to the latest model GMT II with ceramic bezel although there is NO name that given

your dealer's probably calling them that to avoid confusion with the earlier version of the GMT II. the current production GMT II has a different reference number...
i've wondered why they chose not to call the anniversary model a GMT III / after all when the GMT was re-vamped with a more complicated movement (independent 12 hour hand), the new offering was called the GMT II. Does the anniversary GMT come with a different movement?

Do you think Rolex will ever come out with a GMT-III? Seems the II has been out for some time now and what significant change would/could they make? GMT III just doesnt sound right does it?
Maybe I am slightly biased because of my new Maxi GMT II |
