Just Ordered Panerai Radiomir 8 Day (Not What You're Thinking)

So was seeking a Florida TRF GTG place and it reminded me to catch-up with Bob at the Panerai Boutique in Naples. Have a Lunimor PAM1033 GMT and months ago ordered the 1118 Luminor (December 2020 release).

ANYWHO.... Then remembered i wanted a nice mechanical table clock (even tho i have radio/syc clocks, my 2002-commissioned grandfather clock, Russian cockpit mechanical clock, and many, many... many other mechanical timekeepers).

So... PAM00641 table clock it is! These don't seem to come up too often i believe in stores, and Bob said he's getting one in soon! I'll add 'live' pics once she arrives here.

I was just at waterside the other day, totally forgot to stop by the boutique; The SA's are always a pleasure to deal with there!

That’s awesome Steven.

I’m looking forward to your pictures and review

I love those, I just don’t have the money to justify one that I can’t wear

Thats pretty cool!! I wonder how bad these depreciate though? Or not much since they don't come up for sale often? Either way very unique!

Chrono has 'em, yet Panerai has a few in stock for less. Don't care about resell, it adds to the colection here. It's interesting as was just discussing with my wife / muse to add this to the 'wind when Steve is on biz trip' list. She loved that a full wind lasts 8 days like the Grandfather clock. She also liked how it looked in pics, yet once you see it in person, the movement display, the feel, the solidity and weight, you know where that $3k went to.

Hey, at least it's not a $6000 travel clock by Hodinkee

Man, if I had $1 for every time I lusted over the JLC... i'd have a 'free' Atmos.

Your JLC looks great!

This has been on my list forever I just always find some watch I have to have instead of just getting it. Good friend of mine got the wall clock and it's awesome.

She says when she hears me doing my winding routine it makes her feel calm / reassured. To be fair, we do have quite a few manually-wound timepieces here within our home, so it is a 'regiment' of sorts.

i've joked with her that when all the clocks here stop you know i passed away, and she was not quite amused at that situation (she wants me to live longer than her).

Ya know that feeling as you wait for the FedEx truck to deliver your new timepiece yet it's only 6:50am?

Yeah it's like that today

Heeeeere she is.... all 530 grams(!) of her.

You really need to see these in person to fully appreciate them, and the cool effect the domed crystal has with the dial and movement magnification. Very slick! Great lume of course, and she winds super silky-smooth.

Sorry my pics stink, yet if you're considering getting one i highly recommend it. She's a great desk or travel clock too

Will let you know tomorrow morning. The nightstand placement, combined with 'infinite' dial angling possibilities, means she is at the perfect line of sight.
