HELP - Is DeepSea Fake?

Hi,

My wife purchased a DeepSea Sea-Dweller, model 126660, from Chrono24 last week for my birthday.

I think it might be fake.

When you pull the crown out to change the date the minute hand does not stop. It does stop when pulled out to set the time.

Also, when you turn the crown clockwise to set the time, the hands/time do not advance forward, it reverses.

When I get home I can take pics.

Watch came with papers, box, warranty card, and hang tags,

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Ok for one I think your fine. Secondly the “second” hand does not stop when changing the date only. Three the crown, what you pull out, has 3 settings. Which I think you’ve figured out. All the way screwed in, half out for the date only, all the way for setting the time. Lastly depending on which way you turn the crown the time will adjust accordingly. Post some pics when you can. Is this your first Rolex?

Was the Chrono24 seller a store or an individual? Return policy?

Very welcome. Take a breath. Relax brother. I’m sure all will be well. If all corresponding serial numbers match down to the watch, card, and hang tags you’re probably fine.

I think you have your “hand” descriptions confused. Or just typed wrong.

When in date change mode the second hand keeps on rolling and you can Not make any other adjustments. None!!

All the way out, second hand stops and you can adjust hours, minutes, and date.

See if you can visualize the laser engraved Rolex crown at the 6 o’clock position.

I believe most fakes don’t have this.

If you pull out the crown all the way to the 3rd position and rotate it clockwise the hands should move clockwise as well. If you rotate the crown counter-clockwise the hands should move counter-clockwise as well.
If you rotate the crown clockwise and the hands move counter-clockwise, that is not good.

When I rotate the crown clockwise...the hands move counter-clockwise.
When I rotate the crown counter-clockwise....the hands move clock-wise.

The Chrono24 seller is a verified dealer in NY, member since 2014, 5 star rated, with over 400 positive reviews.

Under the Chrono24 buyer protection I have 14 days to file a claim and return the watch so will be doing that now.

I thought I would make it home tonight to post some pics but had to overnight. Will post pics tomorrow.

Counter clockwise is correct for your watch

Cw crown equals ccw time and ccw crown equals cw time.

Don't do anything based on the advice you've been getting here. I expect your watch is fine. Just show your photos tomorrow.

We're talking about the 3235 movement in the 126660.
