What watch would you buy
if you only had $2500-3k to spend? I like the U-Boat look, the L. Kendall look, the Bell and Ross look, more of a sporty watch, not something dressy. It has to be automatic, and a decent size, but not too big. Maybe you know of something in this price range I had not thought of. Looking at new prices, although I would not totally be against a nice used watch, just not sure I trust people.

Have an 03-92 for over a decade, wears well and holds up nicely too. If you can streatch a bit, Panerai is the next level.

Frankly every collection deserves a watch with phenomenal lume. IMHO look at some of the tritium lumed Ball offerings!!! The Hydrocarbon Original is a pretty cool watch; the lume is replaceable if your worried about the 12 year half life!!!

Looks good, how does the tritium tube age, like applid tritium? Not really onboard with the massive crown lock system though.

Not really, asking about two brands in one post, asking about all watches under 2500 in another.

I would go pre owned Omega or Grand Seiko.
Or new high end Seiko or low end Grand Seiko.

+1 on Sinn
So many great options — 104, 856, EZM3, U50 to name a small few. Checkout www.sinn.de or watchbuys.com |

+2 on Sinn if you'll buy new.
I would rather go preowned IWC or Omega though in that price bracket. |

Omega Seamaster from the last generation or a pre-owned Tudor Black Bay.

For around $3,000 for a sport watch and assuming you don't have a very small wrist, I'd probably go for new discounted Breitling Super Ocean Heritage II 42mm or a new discounted Tudor Black Bay 41mm. If you are okay with used, I'd look at Omega.
