For your wrist, better the 38mm

39mm is the way to go IMO.

For AP ROC, it's either 38mm 26315st or 41mm 26331st only, there is no 39mm for new one.

38mm gets my vote , I will however wait till AP starts making their own chrono module.IMG-20200227-WA0013.jpg

I’ve always thought the 41mm is good to go , I have a 7 inch wrist .

Used to wear my 5 digits Rolex nicely , I have a 6 digits sub, but it always feel chunky and extra size .

Until I visit the Boutique of AP and tried it on , I know what I want.

AP wears extra 1-2mm on wrist
But on side by side , you notice huge difference.
But on the wrist , is all back to your personality and your own taste

Side by side - you see the big difference

38mm on 7 inch wrist - I prefer this size
( feeling like wearing a 5 digits subs , or Daytona C )

41mm on 7 inch ( it wear chunky and heavy , feeling like wearing 44mm panerai )

Hope it helps

I like the 41mm size in general but the proportions to me look better on a 38.

38mm fit my 6.5" wrist, 41mm fits more like a 43 or 44 from other brands.

38mm for sure even if you have a big wrist .
I avoid wearing my 41mm because it feels huge on the wrist.

How difficult is it to find the stainless 38mm ROCs at boutiques nowadays?

Good photos above for context, thanks. I have the 41mm ROC and have considered downsizing for a more wearable size rather than a "statement piece" size but I'm not sure about the thickness/width proportions. The 38mm always seems like it has been squashed, and with a dainty bracelet taper, but maybe it's just the angles.

41mm wears fine on my smaller wrist, probably 6.5" or so

From your picture, 41mm looks perfect on your wrist.

38mm has a smaller bracelet so it doesn't look as elegant as 41mm.

Thanks! I think my 39mm 15202 wears just a tad small but perfect too which is why I would think a 38mm ROC would wear small, maybe the chrono pushers make it wear bigger.

Great perspective on this thread. Next to each other, its almost comical how different they are in sizes. On the wrist though, totally different experience and you adjust quickly. Think wearing a daytona and then going to a SD43. Or having them next to each other..

I have a 7” wrist and my 25860 (39) fits me like a glove.

For me, the 38s wears a little small and 41 overhangs with the bracelet flare.

38s good option for 6.75 or smaller. IMHO
41s good option for 7.25 or larger. iMHO
,
That leaves those of us with the most common wrist sizes (6.75-7.25) knowing the 39 would offer the best fit. AP only has one option for us...Jumbo.

Coincidence? I think not.

I always feel close up wrist shots make the smaller sizes look better whereas further out sometimes tend to make their dials look smaller overall on the wrist.

Best to see pics further away, like about 20 cm, as that is more true to real life scenario. I also feel larger ROC looks nicer at this range, even on smaller wrists.

I was almost set on 37mm RO on my 6.2 inch wrist from pics, until I tried both 41mm and 37mm in store and found the dial on the 37mm way too small so went with a 41mm. Best to try at a dealer and look at it yourself in real life.

i had an old 14060 sub and the new panda daytona, and recently got the 38mm chrono from AP, they wear similar. i have about a 6-6.25" wrist. if you like the way your 39 OP or 40 sub fits, stick with the 38 imo

Such a great photo!

I have a 7 inch wrist and so everyone says get the 41. I prefer smaller watches. More elegant and understated to me. 38 still fit me great I think.

Simple -- do you like:
1. large watches that dominate the wrist, or
2. a more classic look, the watch is noticeable but not dominant

Personally , I used to be a (2), now a (1) but preferences differ.

I am the opposite, used to be 1 now I am 2. I think the bigger watches look like you are trying to hard to say "look at my watch," at least for me it was. Thats what makes the world go around. Enjoy what "fits" you best.
