AP Code 11.59 Chronograph Blue Sunburst

Hello,

I kind of fell in love with this beauty today at my AD.

Had the chance to try many Code this year, I found that some of them were well made and was nice piece but no crush... But that was until I tried this one with this AMAZING dial !
I think this watch have it all honestly.

Great work AP

I like the Code collection. I do like the simpler dials.
This blue is stunning though!

They did a really good job on the 2nd gen for the dials on the TO and Chronos (and frankly all the releases this year, tourbillon chrono + sonnerie).

I look forward to picking up a less complicated CODE soon

the dial design is good but I kind of dislike the fonts, makes the watch looks less elegant as I would expected on an AP.

Maybe but it's a pricey one so it will depend on the discount I'll get from my AD.
Don't want to get rid of one of my watch to buy this one.

PS: I also have a 15450 blue on it's way for Christmas

Thanks and yes it does... Haha
Both great but let's say that the chronograph is stunning and the other one is beautiful.
So if I buy one would be the chrono for sure !

Hey guys, I would need some advice as I am seriously considering buying the chrono.
What are the typical discount offered by AD on the CODE line up? I would appreciate your input on this for those who bought one.

Thanks in advance !

Perhaps up to 10% maybe, and that’s only at specific ADs.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a vast majority will not discount right now. The Code has started to gain some momentum as well, making it even more potentially difficult.

I’d expect to pay MSRP, and perhaps use the Code purchase as a ticket to a 15500 blue dial or a 26331ST. I’d aim even higher if you’re looking at the Code Chronograph.

I’d also move fast. I think we’re a few months away from the Code standing on its own...

Very nice classic style. Makes the modern Royal Oak now seem a little dated IMO.

for sure no discount at any boutiques when I asked recently... aren't you buying a code or planning to - are you expecting to get a discount?

I'm still contemplating it. I haven't asked for a discount. I just don't see it happening, and I'd rather use the good will towards something else.

I guess if somebody pushed you might get the tax covered...but I sincerely doubt you could get anything beyond that.

I have been told that the CODE is available only in AP Boutique.
Yes I could use to get RO but I have already 2 on their way so no need for that...

That is actually quite nice. I'm not a fan of the 3 hand Codes as I feel the dial is way too big and plain without any complications.

I don't really know the difference between "boutiques" these days. I can validate that my local AD that sells AP watches has Codes.

Boutique is dedicated to the brand, AD sells multiple brands. There are joint ventures now, but those are dedicated to the brand generally.

I honestly feel that it relies on the size of your wrist. For my 7.25 wrist it’s just the right size as far as appearance.

The purple is hands down my fav! The code is a sleeper when the price in the grey moves down.

Very nice! I think there is a lot of nuance with the Code lineup. I also feel that the chrono looks better than the 3-hander. Hope you're able to pick one up soon!
