Tudor BB GMT dial alignment?

A9041DBD-A5D6-4555-AA25-9C0A9CB8203A.jpeg
Is this normal for the watch or should I send it to be fixed at RSC?

Never seen that before

Are the markers hand applied?

That might be why

Thanks for the response. How do you think Rolex Service would fix this. Would the dial have to be replaced or could the marker be moved over a bit?

Frankly I would not be bothered by that "defect."

Not normal no. I think the dial will have to be swapped .

I sent the watch in because it does have the date issue. If they have to replace the dial and the entire movement, as I heard that they do with this issue, I just want the entire watch replaced. Hopefully Tudor/Rolex will make this right!!!

OP, sending it in is the right call. For what the manufacturers charge for these things, the dials and markers should be perfect. Plus, if I ever thought about buying one pre-owned, I'd take a hard pass if I saw misalignment like that. I hope you get the resolution you want.

If it passed when you brought it and was that big. Stop looking for issues. You can close one eye and it should look straight.

When wearing a watch doesn’t meet your criteria and results in stressing you out, sell it and go watch-less. There are more significant things in life to be bothered about.

The oblong markers don’t hit the centre of the indices printed on the dial.

They are sort of off centre.

Certainly not expected from Tudor. I actually think the rectangles and triangles don’t look right at all, they are much closer than the circles. Not what you see on Rolex subs. Never noticed it before on black bays

This is a watch that costs thousands of dollars, and the dial has a defect. Things like this are literally what warranties are for.

If you think it's a problem and it bothers you, then of course you should have it looked at.

I don't really see it, but I'm not the one wearing it.

With the date issue, I heard that the entire movement has to be replaced. I don’t want a watch which I bought brand new having to have a dial and movement replaced less than 9 months after purchase. I’ve had better luck with a $100 Seiko 5.

Put the watch on a flat surface and see how it looks, look directly down onto and you will see if off or not, the markers have two little pins on the back and they go into holes on the dial plate, if it is off I doubt yours will be the only one.

It will get a refurbished movement during service.

Have to agree and if there is we are only talking about a fraction of a mm, which will have no bearing on the only function of any watch to tell the time.
