As much as I like the 5396 sector dial, I’d go for the Havana. But these watches all bring something very different. Your choice should be whichever best fits your lifestyle, personality and passion.

In general I prefer FPJ offerings, but in this case I'd go with the white gold 5396.

I'm a sucker for Breguet hour markers. My only complaint with the PP is the 24-hour subdial around the moonphase. The 24 is covered by the hands centrally, and the 12 is removed for the date window. And the moonphase disc could use some updating.

Russell, would love to see what strap you put on your 5212

Havana. Not close. Just flip it over and you'll see why.

I'd probably go with the Journe. I prefer my dress watches to be manual wind and platinum feels nicer on the wrist than gold and especially steel. Yes, you're losing some complications, although you're gaining a useful power reserve, but I think the Journe is a slightly higher quality watch overall. It will also be a breeze to set while I would probably want to put the others on a winder. I also think the Journe is probably the easiest to dress down, which is one of your criteria.

The weekly calendar, unless you're in love with the complication and currently own all of the other watches, would be my last choice, as it's in steel and I'm not a fan of the font and the non-matching date wheel.

5212 and it's not even close. The weekly calendar is so unique and cool. The havana does not speak to me at all especially compared to such a unique and useful watch as the 5212. And lol at people saying the Journe will be better finished. Journe isn't known for its finishing. 5396 is my second choice and you can't go wrong there.

The 5396 man, I tried it on once knowing I couldn’t buy it but wanting to see what it would be like some day. They had to pry it off me
