Don't remember if I already answered, both great watches, but if we are talking about the 233 "dot" then I vote 233, especially it should be cheaper, got mine 100% unworn for 8.200 euros, thé AM/PM in Paris is 10.900, too much in my opinion, I have it and it's a fantastic watch, with a Brown aftermarket strap it's a killer, but thé 312 it's really nice also, tough decision, if both from AD, I say 312, if thé dot dial and normal price then get thé 233, it's thé one which gave me the "Paneraitis"...
As much as I love my other watches, my 233 is probably my favorite and thé one which gets the most wrist time. Mario Paci straps arrived this morning I'm like a kid putting on the straps...
Good Luck with your decision...

I have seen several time the dome crystal on the 233 being plexi, am I confused, as I always thought it was sapphire.

Don't agree I love the 233's movement, it's 40% of the beauty of this watch

I vote for the 233. Had the 312 - very nice watch but sold it as I didn't like the movement wobble (I had an early series I think).

No PAM for me right now but currently looking for a preowned 233.
