GMT 1675 Radial/Mini Dial

Here's a 1675 GMT 3.9mil radial/mini dial (hour markers are closer to the center, which gives the illusion of a smaller dial).
I wanted to share this fine example, as we don't see them very often.

Really like that version of matte GMT dial...

...almost like the dial manufacturer mistakenly used a gilt dial outline to create it. The lume placement is similarly away from the edges/toward the center.
Very cool & enjoy,
T.

P.S. 5 million case serial #?

Hey Tom,
It's a 3.9 million serial and actually a tritium dial.
The dial manufacturer is "Beyeler" which could explain the difference with the dials "Singer" manufactured.

...I am referring to Luminous plots in general. If I am referring to "Luminova", I would write "Lumi". Isn't Rolex vernacular great?
Enjoy that GMT,
T.

That's right Mike, pretty rare as it's not seen very much.

I was lucky to have handled one, and have it on my wrist in September,
and let me tell you it was mesmerizing.

Fell in love instantly.

It is interesting the way Rolex changed the dial on the 1675. There are indeed quite a few variations.

The smaller inset markers are very interesting. I wish there was some official explanation for that. I doubt that the dial makers would have done this off their own bat. I suspect that Rolex issued instructions regarding the positioning and the size of the markers on the dial. I guess we will never know.
