Tapatalk issue

Anyone else not getting new posts in their Tapatalk Notifications tab? I haven't been able to see any new posts unless I go into the actual Forums tab and browse by specific category.

I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but still having the same issue.

Thanks for the heads up.

So it's on the Tapatalk side, not TRF?

I've been having that problem, too.

Are they going to fix it across the board or do we have to contact them?

Here’s the response I got last Thursday:

“The issue you are reporting is actually sorted for most accounts, but if yours is still stuck, it means that the update has not reached you yet.
It should happen any time now. In the meantime, maybe try logging out and back in, and see if that helps.
Very sorry for the trouble!”

I updated the app and logged out/in and still having the same issue.

Anyone else still having issues or has it been resolved?

I had the same problem. I can only tell you what I did and it worked. I unchecked the discussions and threads I was following. I signed out of the app.

I went to a web browser signed in and then I signed out of TRF. I reset my password, logged back in on the web browser.

Then I went to the app and logged back in and all was good. I started to follow the threads and got the notifications.

Good luck

Tapatalk is terrible in my experience. I finally gave up using it. Luckily more forums are moving to more modern (responsive) forum software so I hardly need to use it anymore.

Sadly, after it was bought by Internet Brands, vBulletin completely lost its way. Kier Darby and Mike Sullivan, its lead developers, left the company long ago and built Xenforo, which IMO is vastly superior. It also has a built-in PWA (progressive web app) so it renders on any device without the need for clumsy bolt-ons like Tapatalk.

Moving from VB to Xenforo is not a finger-snap, but with the right help it's not as bad as one would think.

For quite some time new posts will show up, but my phone doesn't beep or vibrate as it used to.

I just keep checking every now and again.

I can't seem to sign on to my TRF account in tapapapatalk. Is there something special that I need to do since I now have two factor authentication?
