Any Blackstoners here?

I just this past weekend got a Blackstone setup and fired up for the first time. Launch mission was burgers and Waffle House hash browns - yes, I went WH and they sold me a full jug of HBs.

I am old school, fire and smoke for meat (as God intended), but I gotta say this was pretty awesome. My wife made the comment "this is so good, I don't even understand whats happening in my mouth right now." And she can flat cook. My son went for seconds, there was not a single hash brown shred left to be found.

I'm now a big Blacksone guy....from way back.

Anyone else? What do you like to cook?

I keep a two burner version in my truck. Randomly will roll up on different crews of my guys and cook them whatever I’ve got at the time on the tailgate. Wild hog sausage, venison sausage, burgers, etc. It makes those guys day and they all eat every bit that’s cooked. Just had a cookout with burgers yesterday. I love mine, it’s perfect for what I use it for.

Pic from an earlier cookout.

And it came in handy during the hurricane.

This guy was on sale for $275 (yes I know it says $350 but the manager told me if I took it that day I could have it for $275) at my local hardware store and I probably should have bought it.

My wife says I already have enough outdoor cooking stuff, otherwise I would.

OTH... My buddy swears by his as he has started sous vide for his fine steaks and then pops them on the griddle for a 2 minute sear.

I haven’t heard of them before now. What powers them? Propane, gas?

They’re propane.

But a unitasker from the ones I’ve seen. A flattop.

I’d love a combo 1/2 flattop, 1/2 grill.

We have friends with a complete Blackstone setup on their boat and we sure ate good all weekend during our last visit. My wife and I supplied the fillets, chops, etc, our friends did the prep, everyone was happy.

I'm not a Blackstoners but have a friend who is and swears by it. Haven't experienced one personally myself, yet.

You can also get a natural gas conversion kit.

We have 3…

I bought a 36” pro series for our primary residence a few years ago. We liked and used it so much we ended up buying a 28” with air fryer for our lake cabin. The air fryer option has been great for the kids, easy to make some nuggies and fries for them in a few minutes. The latest addition was just purchased a few weeks ago. It’s a “portable” 22” that i plan to use on the ice when I’m ice fishing/ice camping in the winters. Also bought the pizza oven conversion kit for it.

I cook outside 4-5 days a week in the summer and blackstone products are perfect for any meal!

Every weekend! It’s tough to beat.

It’s our favorite way to eat walleye. Seasoned and blackened on the griddle, served with cilantro lime coleslaw for tacos

Walleye is a sweeter tasting fish ya? I’ve had it before, a friend of mine brought some back from a fishing trip last year. I thought it was absolutely fantastic

Correct. White flakey fillets, no “fishy” taste at all. My favorite fresh water fish to eat and our main target species here in the North central US.

If you ever have the desire to come to North Dakota please let me know. I love taking others out to fish. We have one of the largest man made reservoirs in the US and one of, if not the best walleye fisheries in the country

I’ve been debating the Blackstone for a while. Glad to see some feedback. I am all in Traeger user and the Weber gas and charcoal for quick stuff. The patio is getting crowded but a Blackstone would complete the set!

I have my Weber gas and an old trager as well. There’s definitely room for a blackstone. All 3 of mine get used for different cooking purposes.

Just like watches, you can't have enough grills.

I have the mini one (22) because I was at an air bnb in cape cod and the grill was a pathetic rusting piece of junk. Fat chance I wasn’t going to take advantage of grilling out by the sea so I swung by wal mart and grabbed one. It’s fantastic for smash burgers.

I think I’ll get the full size for my lake house now. I definitely envision myself cooking breakfast by the lake on one.
