Would love 5196 replacement and would be even better if Calatrava with travel time function (a la 2597).

I’ve been praying for that one for years, in the new calatrava case and in rose gold it would be amazing

Praying for yellow gold Golden Ellipse with blue dial in the larger size (5738J)… But that won’t happen probably! :-)

Disagree, hard, on all the comments for a Calatrava in the current case size. Yes, it will happen at some point, but 39mm is too large for a purist dress watch and is partially what made the 5196 so great to begin with (37mm). Almost all of the PP catalogue has already been upsized, which is a shame and not becoming of a simple dress watch IMO.

That said, I'm excited for October none the less!

What would be the changes? Just a few mm or something? If that's what it would look like I don't get why they made a big deal about the discontinuation of the 5711. Have two last hurrahs just to come out with the same thing? I guess like the 5167 vs 5168, 5711 vs 5811.

Just my guess - Patek is taking advantage of the popularity of the sport models by repositioning them from SS to higher-premium PM variants. This should improve their profit margin if the current appetite for sport models stays the same. In my view, the days of SS Nautilus are numbered.

I get that, and it makes sense, but to hype up the discontinuation of the 5711, just to come out with Malibu Stacey now with a new hat!

Sounds like they took notes of the strategy from some watchmaker in Le Brassus …

5811J ... J in this case being John Mayer? :D

I'm with dchang81, what is really the difference? a date window surround that was there on the green steel version? The movements are/were already updated to 330's.
Just up the size? God I hope not as the 5711 is perfectly sized, the 5168 is too big, don't do the same to the Nautilus.

Perhaps they will bring it with the micro adjustable version of the clasp which is on the ladies Nautilus? But that doesn't warrant a whole new model number.

I'd imagine the movement from the 5326g will appear in a Nautilus or Aquanaut.
Maybe without the moonphase in the Aquanaut?
