Top 10 menswear picks of the year

Departures has included a VC, a Glashutte, a Rolex and a chopard. In their design category noting “luxury watches embrace ‘70s nostalgia and space age glam”.

I don’t know how mainstream “Departures” is but I’m taking this as maybe they’re late to the party and the watch craze is on its way out?

Is it a feigning attempt at pumping a dreary market?

I get the emails but have never read one of their articles. Still standing by that as they asked for my card number to be able to read the article. If any of you have a take or were able to read the article. Please discuss. Is this a mail in the coffin due to a fledgling market or is this just another reason the hype may be around for quite some time?

That Vacheron 222 is fantastic, definitely a grail on my list.

I'm guessing my wardrobe (which is Alessandro Michele’s Gucci) isn't gonna gain a lot of traction here....

I don’t think there’s much to it except the magazine trying to generate money and coolness. It’s an affiliate marketing piece, pitched by Departures to an experienced luxury-watch freelance writer.

I agree Jason, that shirt jacket is nice.

I don’t even know what to say to that.

What is this style called? Homeless chic?

Yeah, I get it. My thoughts were the market is starting to quiet down, but then Rolex CPO (that seems to me intended to help prop up the secondary market) and then this article that I thought insinuated watches were still the hottest thing on the market. It all just seemed like efforts to keep the market hyped.
