Broken Crown Mechanism?? PAM 112

Hi guys, I have a PAM 112 M-series which is about 7/8 years old. No issues, never serviced. I grabbed it yesterday to wear it out and when I start winding it up I noticed that the normal crown winding resistance seemed a lot less than normal. It would just wind and wind and wind but would not start the movement ticking.

Obviously I need to take it in to a watchmaker for repair, but I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on what the issue may be (main spring?) and what a repair 'should' cost so that I can have a relatively educated conversation with whoever I decide to service it for me.

Also, I'm in Chicago (Bucktown), and would love any repair shop recommendations that you guys have. I recently purchased a GMT Batman from CD Peacock in Skokie so I might try to leverage that relationship for this repair. Thanks!
