Feds seize fake Rolex watches in Cincinnati worth more than $2.5 million
"A shipment from China manifested as "timer" was intercepted in Cincinnati, officials said, and found to contain 200 counterfeit Rolex watches.
Had the watches been genuine, they would have been worth more than $2.5 million, according to a release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Cincinnati officers seized the package on Aug. 28. The release states the shipment was destined to an individual in New York City. According to the release, officers reached out to the Centers of Excellence and Expertise to determine if the watches were counterfeit. Now that's a shame, lol...
Nice catch by CBP, but the feds should have let them be delivered, then set up a sting as potential buyers once the scumbag started selling them. I really wish they would crack down harder and start enforcing the counterfeiting/trafficking laws more here. |
