My 1965 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe

I'm driving it at a three mile track called Thunderhill Raceway in Sacramento, CA., and in that pic I was clocked at 126 miles per hour. I spun out a few laps later and got kicked off the track!
I also drag race it at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, but the fastest I've gone was only around 12 seconds in the quarter mile. I built the engine from the ground up...it's a Chevy small block V-8.
I've autocrossed it too, and it held it's own for an old car.
I wish I could build a Rolex! By the way, I'm wearing my 1985 datejust in that car. Can you see it? LOL.

Nice but 126 MPH dosn't seem fast for a 12 second car.

Were you stuck in a low gear?

I guess I forgot to point out that the photo is taken at turn 13 I believe, so I was in a curve, and that car doesn't hold up well with G forces at speed, that's why I spun out later, pushing her too much! ha ha, but point her straight and it's a different story. She's no show, but all go!
I knew an Australian who lives in San Francisco come up here to test drive her (he was interested in buying), but decided to become a purist (CIS) Corvette Idiot Savant and went with unmodded.

That is one nice looking Vette man. Looks really tough too. I think you did a very nice job on it.
