Trade Daytona for Royal Oak Offshore?

I have a Rolex Daytona 116503 (two tone gold and steel) with a white dial. I thought I was going to vibe out the gold but I don't. I tried to switch it to a rubberb band in black and it's ok, but the clasp is still mega scratchy with the gold.
I found this on DavidSW: https://davidsw.com/watches/audemars...chronograph-3/

I like it and I love it is an AP which I never had. I also love black dials and miss a date on the Daytona.

I have to mention, I am a one watch (maybe 2 watches) type of collector. I went from 20 watches to 1 to 3 to 5 to 2..
In the end I think that 2 watches is my preferred collection size. I want this piece to be my everyday watch and I plan to purchase a Grand Seiko as a dressy piece.

It would be an even swap with DavidSW from the Daytona to the AP ROO.

Would you do it? or

I love AP but not a fan of the rubber clad. Just doesn’t look as good as other AP’s to me. I’d try to get maybe another one with the stainless bezel instead but that’s my opinion. The elephant or the vampire are classics!

I think I like a lot the versatility of the rubber. It would make for a great everyday watch, both winter and summer, rain or shine

I also like the fact it is a 42mm and not a 44mm. I don't have a small wrist (a bit over 7 inches) but I have been historically more a fan of smaller watches.

Not for a rubber clad.

Would rather top up with ROC than ROO.

No extra money to add. Funny thing is the more I respond to the thread, the more I realize I really want the ROO :-)

Funny thing.

I’m not sure this is good unless it’s good for you but the fact you are here asking, could it mean you have doubts?

I do like the look of the rubber clad however not a fan of the movement in the AP rubber clad, they don’t even service it, just replace it. Kind of cheap for a trinity brand IMO.

You’ll regret it in the future.

I think I will do it. I have been finding myself just trying to find ways to prove that the trade makes sense. Which in itself is telling me I really really want this.

Thanks you guys?

No, the Daytona is an iconic and timeless piece. Like many above have said, you might regret it in the future.

That’s the lowest budget offshore on the market....I would add cash and the Daytona for a better offshore...
