I foolishly tried to show interest to :
- an AD , they said they won’t get any, no need to be on their waiting list, they won’t have any.
- a Salon, they replied this watch is only for their known customers, don’t waste your time (and ours) thank you bye bye.

Yet another Patek I won’t have...

Don't give up. Judging by the negative responses here, we will get it. This is not a Nautilus or an Aquanaut after all

Is the dial sound proof? :)

I can see the appeal, but I do kind of feel like If this didn’t say “Patek”, very few would care.

I also have no chance at buying this.

Design isn’t for me but great to see something new and another steel Calatrava at that.

Hopefully not. I think PP and the ADs certainly will use this as a tool to reward the most loyal customers. That said, I know that within that pool, many do differentiate between the true aficionado that wears the watch versus those that flip or just store it in a safe.

Two in a row now for Patek convincing collectors they need to a have a calatrava. Not sure it will ever translate to the more expensive higher comps in PM but I applaud the effort.

Very nice pic. I’m sure it looks much better in person. I’m looking to add a Patek on strap and I’m leaning towards the 5212. More unique compared to this version, IMO.

Quickly shot down by the local AD! “No chance” were the words said. Oh well. Nice watch.

As with most LE watches that Patek produces, the average watch enthusiast will not have a realistic chance at receiving an allocation. Even amongst those with a long history with an AD and a large collection, the allocation process may involve some element of luck. How many pieces each AD receives will be decided by either Geneva or the local distributor (HSWA in the US and Rhone in the UK, etc).

If there is a very high demand, allocation may be limited to the super-collectors (think MR, tourbillion and Celestial owners). If only a modest demand, then other collectors will have a modest chance. LE of 1000 is not a super high number, but it is not a small number either.

I have always been a fan of SS Calatrava, being an owner of a SS LE Calatrava myself. As a LE piece, the 6007A is not supposed to be a mainstream watch or to attract the masses. Instead it is supposed to be different enough for collectors to appreciate its LE quality.

I agree. But now after staring at pics for a day - is the color a tad feminine? Just saying...

The grey dealers will have it pretty quickly after release.

The watch gives me a BMW feel with the 'white/blue'-ish chequered centre.
It looks a bit like the Baverian flag ...

I would love to combine my BMW with this watch

I love this piece, even though it’s more than i paid for my 5296g.

Having phoned the UK salon and being told that they will only entertain this piece for clients that have purchased at least 5 pieces from the salon - i stand no chance. Looks like i will see on C24 at inflated premiums as per the 5522.

Ho hum......gives me a chance to look at other pieces.

Patek should’ve too many unused 324 movements which will be used in this LE. (I think this LE should’ve been coming with at least the new 324 movement with hacking seconds)

In addition, numerals are same as the those used in aquanaut, case from 6006 but in steel. Sadly, i dont see anything special for a LE piece in this case. Just my two cents..

Expect to see at least 100% increase in grey market on 6007a.

5522a back then even had a much wider gap, tripled the MRSP.

This 6007a is more special. It’s a commemorative piece and Patek rarely make a watch out of such event. My assumption is the demand of this watch will be really high regardless of its negative feedback from many.

Speaking of which, many pieces from Singapore limited edition such as 5930g and 7234a are sort of doomed. People now are selling below their initial purchase. Not all limited patek watches hold solid value in the long run. There’s no definitive answer to that.

On 2nd look it appears they attempted to make it look like the strap was pulled right thru the case and movement and onto the center of the dial. Oh Lordy.

Agreed. A Patek is a bit of a stretch for me at retail so grey is a no go right away
