Was wondering how many Rolex owners wear their watch while playing golf or tennis. I wear my GMTIIc while playing golf. In fact, the RSC in NYC did not blink when I brought my watch in under warranty to be adjusted and told them that I wore it playing golf. They just told me to try not to hit it instead of the ball.

Have played golf (some), shooting sports (a lot), yard work, rough-housing with the kids, etc. I consider that "normal wear."

Other than working on cars/motorcycles, painting, or something where I wouldn't wear *any watch*, I don't give any thought to what I will or won't do with a Rolex on. It's meant to be used, and I do.

I leave it on...a lot safer there than in the clubhouse, locker, car, golf bag...etc.

I play Ice Hockey (not going to paste link to my season stats it is quite embrassing at the moment)

Oh and I take my watch off for Ice Hockey...I leave my necklace and bracelet on though

I always used to, but the last few years I've taken it off, and I think it helps. I figure it's better for the watch to take it off. I do always worry though, when it's just zipped up in my bag on the back of the cart. I keep a close eye on that bag.

Nope, it goes in a beautiful protective case which gets locked in the golf bag. That goes for all of my timepieces.

I wear mine while on the course, in the garden, everywhere. It has a 24/7 relationship with me. The saying, "it's a Rolex" is enough comfort for me.

I do not wear any watch while playing golf. Since I do not wear my watches snug, the sliding is a distraction for me...I'm not that good at golf so any distraction I can get rid of ...may help. Still trying to clear the water hazard in the middle of #3. Maybe I should try wearing my Rolex.

I always wear my DJ playing golf, hitting balls by the buckets, cycling, swimming. Never a hiccup, until after 15 years it stopped, so I had it serviced. I didn't know it has to be serviced regularly.

Personally, I do not because it is not real comfortable and I play a lot of golf.

I can see wearing a rolex sports watch because they are so light and small but the PAM and Breitling would be no good for golf. My local rolex watch maker says it's not good for a regular golfer to do so. He has a lot of golfing clients that give him a lot of business.

No, it gets in the way of the golf glove. Plus I would have to put a tee behind my right ear to balance things.

I damaged the bezel on my Sub and scratched the case and bracelet when I crashed my motorcycle at 60 mph. The Sub protected me from breaking my wrist. The watch still kept perfect time, even as I counted the days while I was learning how to walk again. I'm sure it could handle a round of golf.
